Kuber Chalisa invokes the deity who manages every form of stored wealth in the cosmos. He sits on his treasure-mountain in the north (his direction), guards the riches of Mount Kailash, and is the elder brother of Ravana — proof that wealth alone is not virtue. Kuber gives wealth to those who use it for dharma.
